Weekly Update 11/5

Dear SHPEitos,

The time for conference is now upon us. We wish everyone luck who is heading out there, hopefully we all get internship/job offers! In the mean time here are some upcoming opportunities:



  • Since all the eboard and a lot of other members will be going to Conference there will be no meeting this week
  • The next meeting will be next Wednesday 11/14

Latin Dance Workshop

  • Held on November 26th, in SAC Ballroom B from 5:30-8:00 pm
  • Do you how to dance?
  • Are interested in learning Bachata or Meringue?
  • This is the workshop for you!
  • It will be a great time to for all that goe

Noche de Ciencias

  • Held on November 28th, in Brentwood High Schoolfrom 5 to 7pm
  • It will be similar to the noche we held last week
  • We need volunteer’s to help demonstrate the Arduino and with the straw bridge project
  • If you’re interested please let us know


Meet a NASA Engineer

  • Sabrina Thompson a SBU alumni will come to talk to you
  • She is here to give an inspirational talk
  • It will be held on Monday, November 12th from 10:00 – 11am in Light Engineering
  • It will be a great opportunity to meet someone who is working for a great organization

Entrepreneur at any age!

  • Held on November 15, 2018, from 9:00 to 11:30 
  • do you know if the idea you have is marketable? 
  • How do you know if the risk is worth it? 
  • This workshop is geared toward assisting you in deciding if this concept is worth pursuing, no matter your age! 
  • Come hear from serial entrepreneurs on  how they decided to move forward with their concept, and how they succeeded.
