Weekly Update 11/12

Now that conference has come and gone, we are back and ready for Thanksgiving Break. Here are some opportunities:



  • Since everyone is back from conference, there will be a general body meeting this week
  • It will be held on Wednesday 11/14, in the library N4006 from 7 to 8pm

Latin Dance Workshop

  • Held on November 26th, in SAC Ballroom B from 5:30-8:00 pm
  • Do you not know how to dance?
  • Are you interested in learning Bachata or Meringue?
  • This is the workshop for you!
  • It will be a great time to for all who go, please RSVP here!

Noche de Ciencias

  • Held on November 28th, in Brentwood High School from 5 to 7pm
  • It will be similar to the noche we held last week
  • We need volunteer’s to help demonstrate the Arduino and with the straw bridge project

Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship

  • Held on Wednesday, November 14th, from 1-2pm in room 2401 Old Comp Sci
  • Are you interested in pursuing your PhD, in computational modeling or simulation?
  • This is the talk for you, led my Dr. Matthew Reuter

  • Held on November 15, 2018, from 9:00 to 11:30 
  • do you know if the idea you have is marketable? 
  • How do you know if the risk is worth it? 
  • This workshop is geared toward assisting you in deciding if this concept is worth pursuing, no matter your age! 
  • Come hear from serial entrepreneurs on  how they decided to move forward with their concept, and how they succeeded.
